I try to offer the viewer an exciting place that stimulates the imagination while at the same time tilting the ground under the feet. Wonder and pleasure are mixed with a dash of trepidation and uncertainty.
Hopefully there may ensue interesting emotions and the consideration of previously unasked questions.
To quote Jean Dubuffet: Art should always make people laugh a little and frighten them a little.
I believe life is clearly a paradox and this is reflected in my painting sometimes, but not always.
